Re: Snodgrass was one of Premier Leagues best players
He is an average, mid to lower half, Premiership player who stands out for the likes of Hull because he takes all their free kicks and corners and they tend to not have amazingly creative players.

He was an odd signing for us, way overpriced. The whole thing had a slight whiff of panic.

Since he's joined us he's done exactly as I suspected he would. Average. If we want to be top ten he should be a squad player who we only see on the pitch every now and then.

I don't disagree Sven but was surprised by the claim on Twitter. I remember him making a few poor passes in the game yet he had an 85% completion rate over 60 passes.

On whoscored.com our best player was Snodgrass on Saturday yet he was taken off.

Re: Snodgrass was one of Premier Leagues best players
Move Snodgrass to squad player next Season along with Fonte and Noble, these three would not start in my 2017-2018 team if all were fit.

Hart
Zabaletta Reid Ogbonna Cresswell
Obiang Kouyate
Antonio Lanzini Sigurdsson
Lacazette

Sell in summer to newly promoted side or a one of the three that drop into the championship

He is a wide man that offers no quality for how we play. We need wingers with pace who can get in behind to deliver the ball for carroll or to run beyond him to stretch the defence and/or run onto his flick ons

What Slav had in mind in terms of where he will play/fit in is truly baffling

I'd like to see Noble at Arsenal to see what his pass rate would be like. Or rather I wouldn't.

Re: Snodgrass was one of Premier Leagues best players
Stats are useless unless properly interpreted by using your eyes. Noble usually has a very good pass rate, mainly because he almost always plays safe sideways and backwards balls.

Fernandes turned 21 on Saturday
Looking forward to him having a big preseason and kicking on next year.

Snodgrass I'd happily sell in the summer

Interesting that Fernandes was poor on Saturday yet .....

West Ham News‏
@WHUFC_News
West Ham midfielder Edimilson Fernandes has the 2nd highest pass success rate in the Premier League this season, at 91.5%.

I know a few Leeds fans who have been very surprised at his ever increasing transfer fees.

Journeyman who has dined out on a couple of good seasons here and there.

Hull and West Ham without Snodgrass > Hull and West Ham with Snodgrass

How many points has he earned this season as a player?
Less than Sunderland I suspect

No he wasn't. If he was he would not have joined West Ham.

Hard to believe he's even a professional.
One of the worst footballers I've ever seen

I didn't want him when he was at Norwich and we were after him. Can't say I've seen anything to make me change my opinion.

he was awful at Sunderland, not as bad as Fernandes but he was awful none the less

Re: Snodgrass was one of Premier Leagues best players
An example of how bad are summer signings were. That the board and Slav were jumping at the chance to sign Snodgrass and Fonte too, just to have players that are at least average at this level. Unlike the shit like Feghouli, Nordveit and Tore etc.

Re: Snodgrass was one of Premier Leagues best players
A large number of fans see the lack of pace, mobility and physicality in midfield and up front but Sullivan and Bilic just think it is a striker problem. We get a top striker and all will be solved. Bleedin obvious that we struggle with pressing and being pressed because we have a group of players that collectively lacks the movement, physical presence and pace to cope with teams that do play that way. Watch us struggle against Everton who will close us down quickly and force us into errors.

Snodgrass would be far more effective in a team that has a work ethic and good movement. Same for Noble.

We need to put all our budget and efforts into recruitment of a striker, RB and 2 or 3 proper quality additions to midfield alongside the decent ones we have, namely, Obiang, Antonio and Lanzini. A player like Dembele or Kante or Matic or even that Ndidi at Leicester is essential. We also need genuine pace and strength on the left. It will cost a lot to get what we need which should include at least one younger , upcoming player.

We could also do worse than getting in Delph from City although he might be another "Glass Man" but he is strong on the ball, works his nuts off and alongside Obiang would make us a lot stronger. He might be available but would involve high wages so probably wont happen.

It would transform us if we also had a wide player on the left like Antonio. Of course a striker still required and definitely a goalkeeper too.

Suspect we will get more lightweight, slow, old has beens or never beens :-(

He'd been playing for Southampton, he wanted a longer contract extension than they were willing to offer, i think theirs was only one season, so he asked to be able to leave. They lined up caceres on a freebie so that's why they were happy enough to let him leave, especially after giving them good service for 7 seasons.
